VALLELUNGA – Aldo Festante concludes the race weekend at Vallelunga with a satisfying eighth place in Race 2. Race 1, unfortunately, was interrupted prematurely due to a failure of the young driver’s car, which made it impossible to end the competition.

From September 14th to 15th Aldo Festante debuted in the first race of the Porsche Carrera Cup. The race weekend was held in Vallelunga, where in the last championship Festante managed to achieve excellent results. The debut of the Capua native pilot aboard the Porsche Carrera was characterized by the fifth position in the qualifying, then, in Race 1, a technical problem with the car prevented Festante from completing the competition, forcing him to immediately return to the pits. Race 2 went better, Aldo managed to conquer the eighth place, a good result considering that it is the first race of Festante on a closed wheeler and that the young driver started from the last position.
Both the team and the driver are satisfied with the race weekend, but in the next stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup, they intend to climb the standings immediately, gaining important points for a great performance in the championship.

“It’s been a good first weekend, shame about the issue in race one which set it uphill for us but through adversity comes strength, we’re confident for the next races.”
