MILANOAldo Festante concluded the Porsche Carrera Cup by winning the fastest lap in Race 2. A weekend full of emotions, which saw the young driver juggle the other cars to gain an important position in the standings.

From October 19th to 20th, the last race of the Porsche Carrera Cup was held, on the historic track “Autodromo Nazionale Monza”. A weekend full of pitfalls for the Capua native driver, who managed to show his skills even on wet, big news for his Porsche Carrera. Surely running in persistent rain conditions made the competition more unpredictable, but, having adopted, along with a few other drivers, slick tires, initially on a wet track, continuing once dry, turned out to be a good decision. However, Race 2 saw contact from Festante with another car that undermined the positive course of the race, relegating him to the last positions, well detached from the group. The pilot is still satisfied, having competed in such adverse conditions and being able to take home a good eighth place in Race 1 and an eleventh place in Race 2 and above all, having scored the fastest lap of the weekend, makes Aldo extremely confident for an excellent performance in the next edition of the Porsche Carrera championship.

“I think this weekend really gave us a push to grow up, among wet qualis, race one on a damp track and race two on a drying one where the call for slick tyres was right but the collision in the first turn got us out of tnf battle for the mattering position, last but not least, we drove the quickest race lap, everything feels positive for next season.”
