CASTREZZATO – In a weekend full of twists, Aldo Festante once again confirms his speed skills, during the fifth stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup in Franciacorta.

The penultimate heat of the Porsche Carrera Cup was held on the Franciacorta Circuit from 1 to 3 October, in the extraordinary setting of the Porsche Festival. Aldo Festante once again proved to be one of the best performing drivers in the championship. The race weekend started immediately with heart-pounding qualifying, when Aldo, due to a mechanical problem, was unable to go beyond the thirteenth time.
Starting from the sixth row, Aldo tried to recover positions from the first lap, aiming for the top of the standings. Unfortunately, a contact with another car penalized the efforts of the driver from Campania, forcing Festante to retire prematurely from the competition.
In Race 2, however, the young driver managed to conquer the fastest lap of the competition, finishing the race in twelfth position.
A weekend, the one in Franciacorta, which leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, for a performance marked since the qualifying by technical problems and contacts that have undermined the possibility of fighting better with the other protagonists of the championship. Festante, however, does not lose heart and after enjoying the spectacular Porsche Festival, with its numerous fans and its breathtaking events, he is ready to get back to work with the Ombra team to conclude the last round of the Porsche Carrera Cup in the best of ways.

“Very complicated weekend, we were among the fastest but technical problems and contacts prevented us from fully demonstrating it, thanks to Porsche for setting up a breathtaking event.”
