SPAA bittersweet weekend for the young Capua native driver, who despite technical problems that affected the race weekend, managed to demonstrate his potential and won the eleventh place in Race 2, after conquering seven positions from the start of the race.

The fourth round of the Euroformula Open championship was held from 8 to 9 June, at the historic Spa circuit in Belgium. Aldo Festante, coming off a black weekend at Hockenheim, is back on the track again, more aggressive than ever. Determined to overturn the championship, Festante pushed his Dallara to the maximum providing us two excellent performances. Unfortunately, bad luck was present even in the Belgian stage: Race 1 was characterized by a series of technical problems that relegated the Capua native driver to the fourteenth position.
Race 2 instead brought better results: a tenth place, the result of a great battle by the driver, who, starting in eighteenth, managed to make his way through his opponents winning eight positions during the race. Needless to say, once again Festante has managed to show its worth and its unmistakable stubbornness behind the wheel. The results of this weekend, cement, even more, the confidence of the driver in his abilities and of a comeback in the standings in the second part of the championship. All that remains is to make the most of the summer break period to eliminate any possible source of problems, to compete in Hungary in search of a great result.

“We were killed by issues during the whole weekend but with race two we finally proved to have a good pace and potential, it was satisfying to go from P18 on the grid to the points.
Onto Hungary now with the target to work harder and harder.”
